Modern Hebrew does not use vowels or punctuation. Thus, you don't have to worry about the rules about vowels because this course is intended to teach you reading skills, not writing skills.
a vowels - dash signs underneath the letters.
e vowels - two dots or more underneath the letters.
i vowels - one dot underneath the letters withor withoutthe letter yod.
o vowels - one dot on topor to the left of a letter
or one dot on top the letter vav.
u vowels - three dots diagonally to the right
or one dot inside the letter vav .
